(Full moon of the 9th Tibetan month) Mani Rimdu is the biggest event of the year for the Sherpas of the Khumbu region. Sherpa’s from the Khumbu area meet at Tengboche Gompa,the pretty monastery situated on a spur at 3,870 meters from where both Mt. Everest and Mt. Ama Dablam,Mt Thamserku, Mt. Lhotse and so many Himalayas view can be seen from the places of Manerimdu of Tengboche monastery. The Manerimdu is celebrating Tengboche monastery and Chiwang monastery nearby Salleri, the district headquarter of Solukhumbu.
