Abi Peak Climbing (6,097m)

Abi Peak ClimbingThe name Abi refers to the twin peaks of Cholo and Kangchung (6,063m) which located at the northern end of splendid Gokyo valley and both can be climbed under single permit. While the peaks look spectacular, the climbing on their respective ridges from the col between them is steep but straightforward.

The peaks are best approached from the southern side and a base camp can be made after breaking off from the trekking route to Cho La (5,330m).

However, both peaks can be approach from the north side.

Trip day to day itinerary

Days 1 to 9: Fly to Lukla and trek to Namche Bazaar. Trek to Everest base camp for acclimatization. After crossing the Chola(pss) with its incredible view of Everest, descend from the pass to make yours base camp.

Days 10 to 12: Climbing time.

Days 13 to 16: Trek way to Lukla directly or via Renjo La pass and Thame valley.
